Zaatar is a Syrian maioran, a herb with a spicy smell, which gave its name and a mixture to which it belongs. The taste and smell of Syrian oregano is average between thyme, oregano and marjoram. Among other things, it was noted that the ancient Hellenes were somewhat right: people who regularly eat Syrian marjoram - zaatar, are optimistic and resilient, less likely to fall into depression, they are more stress-resistant than others, and have a more "fighting" character. Zaatar is able to give cheerfulness, in the case of a half-awake night and provide a burst of energy.
